Health Care in Developed Countries (Research Paper Sample) Content: Heath CareStudent Name:Course:Institution:Date: Heath CareHealth issues are of significance to all people, which makes public contribution towards the health care policies necessary. Some countries, such as Germany and Canada have successfully managed to develop health care systems while the USA still lacks in some areas within the health care system. The paper seeks to evaluate on the importance of public opinion to the success of universal health care. It also focuses on reasons these countries are able to provide standardized health care while United States of America is not.Public opinion is significant in that it has contributed to the success of universal health care through social media forums such facebook, blogger and twitter, which have gained immense popularity. The citizens use these forums to express subjective opinion on matters regarding to health care, which helps decisions makers in the health care system to develop the weak areas. People can now use this social media to comment on and critique health care management. These forums also help the public question the eligibility of the people who run the health sector. This has increased credibility and responsibility in the utilization of public resources because medical care management face scrutiny and criticism from the public, which make them, adopt transparent policies (Swayne, Duncan Ginter, 2012).Public opinion on health issues also promotes positive change in the sector, policy development and introduction of new strategies in the health care sectors. The public views and opinions are fundamental in the determination of decisions that the government and health official make. Chandra and Skinner (2011) argue that the citizens are great beneficiaries of the heath systems in a country, and decisions makers in the health care system consider their opinions when implementing decisions and change. Presence of public opinion in health care plays a pivotal role in monitoring med ical costs and, expenditures in the sector. This affects the medical fees and expenditures within the health sector as the public is keen on the revenues the health care systems generate and how the expenses. This helps keep the management and decision makers in the sector in check and ensures they do not misuse the public money the government sets aside to develop heath care facilities and policies (Turnock, 2011).Turnock (2011) asserts that public opinion determines the position of a medical health care within a location. That is if a certain medical health centre does not adhere to peoples expectations within that location; people can choose to move to another one that caters for their needs in the way they feel they get appreciated. This would mean that if that medical centre would lack patients to attend to, it would be done away with in that certain locality.Canada and Germany have been able to provide standardized health care to their citizens. Canada in the recent past has r aised the colon cancer awareness to people who could not even afford it. The Canadian government has been making it temporarily free for people to attend the cancer check up at different times of the year. The health care systems in Germany receive funding from the government; this ensures that the citizens do not pay high fees in public health institutions. The health sector in Germany al so has adequate staff because many people volunteer to work in the health sectors at low salaries or no salaries at all; this includes the Army and some parents who are Canadian citizens (Schoen, et al., 2010).The German government ensures the proper maintenance of its health care system. With the vast funding of health care by the government, health sectors get maintained to high standards that are favorable for citizens to receive the best of medical services from better words to keeping good records of diagnosis to patients. The Germany government has had the health insurance system since the 1 870s that has augured well in the provision of health services for a long time without failing. In the recent past, president of Canada has been working closely with the health departments to ensure offering quality medical services to the citizens. This is by holding the medical practitioners accountable in their places of work by allowing the assistant physicians and nurses to take roles that got meant for doctors. The president with the help of leaders in the health sectors has encouraged competition with the public system by easing restriction with private systems. Also, the president has been touring countries like England, Denmark, Netherlands Germany, among others to compare Canadas health with their health sectors with the aim of improving his countries health (Schoen, et al., 2010; Shi Singh, 2012).United States, on the other hand, has been unable to provide better health care to its citizen due to the following factors. One united states have highly concentrated on the pr ivate sectors, leaving no chances to public health system, as the result this has resulted to poor services in the public sectors (Shi Singh, 2012). Second, there is poor funding by the United States government to health sectors; this has significantly demoralized the offering of services by the medical practitioners since there is a shortage of facilities and equipment. While countries like Germany spend very little in paying the nurses, doctors and phys...
